In recent years, Chinas export scale of electronic and electrical products to Vietnam has continued to expand. Statistical data shows that China is one of Vietnams primary sources of imports for electronic and electrical products, especially for electromechanical equipment, computers, electronic products, and accessories, with import volumes steadily increasing. However, to successfully enter the Vietnamese market, enterprises must understand and comply with various local certification requirements and standards. This article will detail the certifications required for exporting electronic and electrical products to Vietnam, helping enterprises smoothly meet Vietnams market access conditions.
Regulatory Authorities Responsible for CR Certification in Vietnam
The regulatory authorities for electronic and electrical product certification in Vietnam are the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST) and the Directorate for Standards, Metrology, and Quality (STAMEQ). These two agencies are responsible for formulating and implementing relevant standards and regulations for electronic and electrical products.
CR Certification Bodies in Vietnam
Vietnams designated or recognized third-party certification bodies include the Vietnam Certification Centre (QUACERT) and the Vietnam Quality Assurance and Testing Centre (QUATEST), with QUATEST having three branches responsible for testing tasks in different regions and fields.
Electronic and Electrical Products Requiring CR Certification
Vietnams electronic and electrical CR certification system includes mandatory safety certification and electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) mandatory certification. Specifically, Vietnam implements mandatory safety certification for 13 types of electronic and electrical products and EMC mandatory certification for 7 types of electronic and electrical products.
Mandatory Safety Certification for Electrical Products
Mainly includes household appliances, audio-visual equipment, information technology equipment, etc.
